To meet the demand of the Chinese talent market, Division of Iberia American Affairs was established in 2005 under the supervision of MOE and the support of embassies of multiple countries in Iberia America. It aims to cultivate talents that have mastered Spanish and the technologies and cultural knowledge of Spain and Latin American countries, to maintain the balance of the demand and supply in the Chinese talent market. Since its foundation, it has established cooperation relations with tens of universities in Spain, Argentina, Mexico and Brazil, which are stepping toward mature and stable stage.

　　With the rapid development of China’s political, foreign affairs and business relations with the Iberia American countries, the demand of the employers for the Spanish language talented people are becoming stronger and stronger. But the Chinese talents that have mastered both the Spanish language and the local conditions and customs of the two parties are quite rare and the situation of short supply of the Spanish language talented people has restrained the bilateral trade, investment and other activities.

　　As a state-level service institution for overseas study directly under CSC, Dongfang International actively responds to the guidelines of MOE and the Division of Iberia American Affairs is taking efforts to cultivate more inter-disciplinary talents with mastery of Spanish for China.
